The officials across the eastern United States, including the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, are putting effort to stop the spotted lanternfly from spreading. 

The spotted lanternfly was originally spread in China, but it has been widely spreading in parts of the United States, Japan, and South Korea. 

Officials are asking people who see the bug to try to kill it and to do whatever they can to keep its population from spreading. Although they cannot bite and are not harmful to humans, the spotted lanternfly can be very destructive and harmful to crops and plants.

ランタンフライはもともと中国で広まった害虫でした。しかし今では米国の一部や日本、韓国で広く流行しています。
