FBI Director, Christopher Wray, confirmed that the Covid-19 pandemic’s origins are likely due to a potential lab incident. This is the first time the FBI’s judgement on how the virus emerged has been made public. China has denied the allegation, calling it defamatory. Wray’s comments come after the US ambassador to China called for more honesty on Covid’s origins. While some studies suggest the virus originated from animals at a market in Wuhan, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which conducted coronavirus research, is located 40 minutes away from the market.
