Scientists have found two minerals never seen before on Earth in a meteorite which was discovered in Somalia in 2020. They later named it elaliite and elkinstantonite from the town of El Ali in central Somalia. Both new minerals are phosphates of iron, and further researches on the minerals are still conducted.

科学者たちは、2年前の2020年にソマリアで見つかった隕石から、地球上初となる2種の鉱物を発見しました。ソマリア中央部のエルアリという町で見つかったこの２種は、エルアリアイトとエルキンスタントナイトと命名されました。どちらの新鉱物も鉄のリン酸塩であり、現在もさらなる研究が進められています。
