Amou Haji, an Iranian hermit who was unofficially dubbed the “world’s dirtiest man” dies at the age of 94, only a few months after fellow villagers convinced him to bathe for the first time in over 60 years.
Up until his recent bath, Haji was covered in thick soot, ate roadkill, and smoked cigarettes as well as a pipe with animal excrement. Villagers said that emotional problems as a child made him refuse to wash and he thought it would make him ill.

非公式に「世界一汚い男」と呼ばれていたイラン人のアモウ・ハジさんが94歳で亡くなりました。村の仲間たちが説得して60年以上ぶりに入浴してから、たった数ヶ月後のことでした。

ハジさんは路上の轢かれた動物を食べ、タバコや動物の排泄物が入ったパイプを吸い、彼の最近の入浴まで分厚いすすで覆われていました。村民たちは、彼は幼少期の情緒的な問題から入浴を拒み、入浴が病気の根源だと思っていたと語りました。
