Russia has been attacking Ukraine since February of this year.

Meanwhile, the Japanese government beginning this March has been taking measures to help refugees that have escaped from Ukraine. The country has decided to provide 2400 yen per day for refugees over the age of 12 that have no friends or relatives in Japan after leaving their hotel which will also be provided by the government.

The Japanese government has been contemplating the provision of money to the refugees for about half a year. However, since they are unsure of when the refugees can return to Ukraine, they have extended the period by an additional six months to a full year.

According to the Immigration and Residency Office, there have been a total of 1878 people from Ukraine evacuating to Japan and 224 people receiving financial support.

ロシアのウクライナへの攻撃（こうげき）は、今年の2月に始まって今も続いています。

その間、日本の政府（せいふ）は3月よりウクライナから避難（ひなん）してきた人が生活できるよう手助けをしています。例えば、日本に家族や友達がいない12才以上の人には、国の用意（ようい）したホテルを出たあと1日2400円を支給しています。

日本の政府は、ウクライナからの避難民（ひなんみん）に財政援助（ざいせい えんじょ）を与える期間を半年ぐらいと予定していました。しかし、ウクライナにいつ戻ることができるかわからないため、支援期間（しえん きかん）をあと半年長くして1年の間にすることを決定しました。

出入国在留管理庁（しゅつにゅうこく ざいりゅう かんりちょう）によると、今までにウクライナから1878人が日本に避難（ひなん）してきていて、そのうち224人にお金を出して生活の援助（えんじょ）をしています。
