Several theatres around the UK have begun refusing ticket sales for Minions: The Rise of Gru to young men wearing suits, and at least one theater stopped screening the film altogether.

The suits are a part of the “Gentleminions” trend on TikTok which has become popular in the UK and USA, as a celebration of the latest movie to feature the Minion characters.

However, some participants of the trend have been acting rowdy and abusive towards staff, disturbing families with young children who want to see the film.
