Kumagaya, Saitama, sometimes called the hottest city in Japan, is planning to distribute 9,000 yellow umbrellas to local children.

The umbrellas are intended to protect children from heatstroke, as well as encourage social distancing on their walks to and from school.

The city planned to distribute the items ahead of the summer school holidays but manufacturing was delayed due to the pandemic and other issues.

日本で1番暑い市のひとつであると言われる埼玉県熊谷市は、子供達に9000本の黄色い傘を配布することを計画しています。　

傘は日傘として子供たちを熱中症から守り、また同時に登下校でのソーシャルディスタンスを保つこともできます。

市は夏休み前に製品を配布することを計画していましたがパンデミックや他の問題により製造が延期されました。
