Following the great triumph of FIFA World Cup Qatar in late December of 2022, the WBC (World Baseball Classic) is planned to begin on March 8, 2023. The Samurai Japan manager, Hideki Kuriyama, announced 12 players to the team on Friday, and the complete roster is to be announced later this month before a training camp in Miyazaki between February 17th-27th. As of now, the Los Angeles Angels two-way phenomenon  MVP player Shohei Ohtani, a triple crown winning Yakult Swallows player Munetaka Murakami, and many others have been chosen to play in the upcoming cup.

2022年12月末には、サッカーでFIFAワールドカップ・カタールの大勝利がありましたが、野球では2023年3月8日にWBC（ワールド・ベースボール・クラシック）が開幕します。侍ジャパンの栗山英樹監督は、金曜日に12人の選手を発表し、今月下旬には全選手が発表される予定です。現時点では、ロサンゼルス・エンゼルスの二刀(元)MVPの大谷翔平選手、三冠王のヤクルトスワローズの村上宗隆選手などが、今回のWBCでプレーすることが決定しています。
