こんにちは！The clubroomsでインターンをしているRuiです。自己紹介というわけですが、自分について話すより、自分にとって特別な、南アフリカという国について話したほうが、私がどういう人なのかを表してくれる気がするので、南アフリカについて少し話したいと思います!!
私は南アフリカに幼稚園の頃から７年以上暮らしていました。なので、あまり日本語は得意でないです、、今は日本で英語で授業を行う学校に通っているわけですが、正直日本語しか使わない学校に通っていたらとても苦労をしていたと思います。この一つの言語だけにしか対応していないところが、私の暮らしていた南アフリカとの大きな違いの一つだと思います。南アフリカはなんと公用語は11個もあります!! 道を少し歩くだけでたくさんの言語を聞くことができて、とても面白かったです🌟。貧富の差が激しく、治安が悪いだけのイメージを持つ人が多いかもしれません。もちろん、これは実際正しくて、街には所々にホームレスの人がいて、道で私と同年代くらいの子供たちが果物などを売っていて、強盗なども頻繁に起こっていたので毎日注意しながら生活をする必要がありました。けれど、南アフリカには数えきれない魅力があります!!! 人はとてもフレンドリーで、食べ物も美味しく、おしゃれです。テーブルマウンテンから見渡す景色は自然と都会が融合していて本当にきれいです⛰✨
南アフリカの自然は大変すごくて、「ケープ植物区保護地域群」といわれる８ヶ所の保護地域があり、その総面積は比較的小さいですが、面積あたりの植物の多様性が世界でも有数のエリアと言われて、世界自然遺産にも登録されています🌱🌍。
南アフリカの海沿いに行けばペンギンたちがいたり、サファリパークの規模は圧倒的でゾウさん、サイ、チーターからライオンまで色々な動物に会えます🙈🙉🙊。

Hello! I am Rui, an intern at the clubrooms!!! I have lived in South Africa for about 7 years, until I came back to Japan in 2020, so I do not consider myself a good Japanese speaker. Currently, I attend a school with almost all lessons done in English. This is why, I think that if I were to attend a typical Japanese high school with everything in Japanese, I would have struggled a lot 😨. Thinking about things like these, I think that Japan is very focused on only Japanese, and is a bit unfriendly to people who are weaker in Japanese.
This is a big difference to South Africa. South Africa actually has 11 official languages!!! It was really interesting to meet many people of the same country who all have different accents and communicate in different languages. Many of you may have the image of South Africa as having a large disparity in the wealthy and the poor, or as an unsafe country. These are true. However, I think that there are so many other amazing things that should be talked about!! The people are friendly, the food is delicious, the streets are pretty and the best of all, the blend of nature and the city is really breathtaking
