＜先日投稿した夏休みの思い出の記事の続き＞ clubroomsではないのですが、あるオンライン教育キャンプに運営側として参加した話についてです。このキャンプは、社会的な問題に焦点を当て、若い世代にその問題に対する認識やそのことに関する正しい情報を広めることを目的として活動を行っています。私が参加したオンラインキャンプは、「人権と気候変動」をテーマに、参加者同士のディスカッションとボランティアによるレクチャーを主にして、開催されました。私たち全員が環境のことを常に意識して生活をしていないことで、地球に壊滅的な影響を及ぼしていることについて話しました。その中でも、一番印象に残ったのは、キリバス島に長年住んでいる日本人の方が、地球温暖化にほとんど貢献していない島の人々が、その悪影響を受けていることを熱く語ってくれたことです。当時の写真や、その島での人々を紹介しながら、プレゼンテーションを行っていた事が印象に残りました。このような貴重な体験を通して、インターネットでは得られない実体験に基づく情報を私は得ることができました！＾
The online camp concentrated on societal issues, aiming to spread awareness and vital information about it among young generations. It revolved around the topic of Human Rights and Climate Change, which primarily consisted of discussions among participants and lectures from volunteers. We talked about the way we live from day to day, how we all contribute to this issue, and its devastating consequences that impact the earth. One memorable speaker, a person who has lived on the island of Kiribati for basically his own life, passionately spoke about the people of the island, who rarely contribute to global warming are taking the consequences. Through such rare experiences, I was able to obtain information from personal experiences, ones that cannot be accessed through the internet.
