Convenience store chain Lawson announced that they plan to introduce digital avatars at store registers to assist customers.
The anime-like avatars will be operated by real people who can work from home and answer customer questions.
The avatars will appear at select Lawson stores at the end of November and will expand to 200 stores in the next three years.
コンビニエンスストアチェーンのローソンは、店舗レジに接客用のデジタルアバターの導入を計画していると発表しました。アバターはアニメ調の見た目で、自宅からリモート勤務するスタッフによって操作される予定で、お客さんの問い合わせに答えることができます。11月下旬には、一部のローソンの店舗に登場し、3年で200店舗まで拡大する予定としています。
