On October 3rd (third), ANA unveiled to the press a new aircraft with its tail and other parts painted in green, signifying environmental friendliness, under the theme of a sustainable society.
There are two green-painted aircrafts, and they will be in operation from the flight to San Francisco on October 5th.
To reduce air resistance, a film with an uneven surface like a shark’s skin was applied to part of the aircraft’s body. If this would be introduced to all ANA aircraft, will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 300,000 (three-hundred-thousand) tons annually.

全日空は10月3日、持続可能な社会をテーマに、尾翼（びよく）などを緑に塗り替えた機体をお披露目しました。

通常の全日空機は青ですが、環境への配慮を意味する、この緑に塗られた機体は現在2機あり、10月5日からサンフランシスコ行きの便で運航します。

この緑の機体は、空気の抵抗を減らすため、サメ肌のように凹凸のあるフィルムが胴体の一部に張られています。これが全日空の全ての機体に導入されると、年間およそ30万トンのCO2削減につながるとしています。
